The Schedule screen¶
The Schedule tab is the home screen and the heart of the app. It shows who is on call for every week of the selected year.
Reading the schedule¶
- Weeks run Wednesday to Tuesday (that's the TOTLCOM standard) and are grouped by month.
- Each week shows the three roles: Manager, Voice, and Data, with the assigned person's name.
- Holiday weeks are marked with the holiday's name. If a holiday slot hasn't been filled yet it shows "(fill manually)".
- A small "On call now" card highlights the current week so you can see at a glance who's covering today.
Choosing the year¶
Near the top there's a year selector. Switch years to view past or future schedules. Each year is independent.
Finding things quickly¶
- Filter by month — show just one month at a time.
- Filter by employee — show only the weeks a particular person is on call.
- Collapse all / Expand all — fold the month groups up or open them all, handy on a phone.
- Back to top — jumps you back to the top after scrolling through a long year.
The "Needs attention" panel¶
Near the top, a Needs attention panel flags weeks that may need a human to look at them:
- a PTO conflict (someone is scheduled while on vacation),
- an empty slot (no one assigned),
- a forced pick (the app had to assign someone who'd normally be skipped, because no one else was available),
- an unfilled holiday.
If the panel is empty, the schedule is clean.
Schedule History (and who changed it)¶
Click History to see a list of recent saved versions ("snapshots") of the year. Every time someone Generates, Imports, Regenerates, Rebalances, Assigns holidays, or Restores, the app saves a snapshot first so you can go back.
Each entry shows:
- a short label (e.g. "Regenerated from 2026-07-01"),
- the number of weeks and the date/time,
- who made the change — the signed-in person's email, shown as "· by name@totlcom.com".
Note
Snapshots created before this "who changed it" feature was added won't show an author — that's normal. The app keeps the most recent snapshots per year and prunes older ones automatically.
To go back to an earlier version, click Restore next to it. The app takes a fresh snapshot of the current state first (labeled "Before restore from …"), so a restore is always reversible.
What you can do here¶
The action buttons (visible to editors and admins) let you Generate, Regenerate, Rebalance, Swap weeks, Assign holidays, Import, Export, Print, Backup/Restore, and Delete a year. Those are explained on the next page.
